Privacy Statement Renson NOA®

1. General

1.1. Who are we?

Renson*, located at Kalkhoevestraat 45, 8790 Waregem and started in 1909 purely as a production company but then started to focus more and more on its own research and innovation. The result, in 2018, is an internationally renowned and rapidly growing knowledgeable company that is constantly one step ahead of the game.

We are very proud of our local roots with 100 percent production in our own country. This also guarantees our customers the necessary flexibility – customization is our strength – however, this does not compromise our international focus. Healthy ambitions that fit an organization with the focus on a healthy and comfortable indoor environment!

“Creating healthy spaces" is our baseline. Renson wants to create a comfortable and healthy living and working environment with sophisticated ventilation, sun protection and / or outdoor solutions (such as aluminium pergolas, aluminium siding, carports...). In this context, Renson comes into contact with your personal data.

1.2. Commitment to Data Protection

Renson highly values the protection of users’ personal data. Every effort is made to guarantee this data protection and to always act in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) when we process your personal data.

More specifically, Renson shall always treat personal data lawfully for specific purposes. We will take the necessary steps to never ask for more personal data than necessary for the purpose or to keep these personal data longer than necessary. Lastly, Renson takes technical and organisational measures to guarantee adequate security to protect your personal data.

This Privacy Policy was last updated on 03/06/2022. Renson reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy if necessary. Any changes shall always be communicated.

2.Personal data

2.1. NOA® –outdoor living

This Privacy Statement applies to the NOA-outdoor living experience centre. NOA is an experience centre situated in Kruisem, Polydor Rensonstraat 8 (Belgium), where products from several companies active in the outdoor business will be exhibited and where visitors can experience and discover the products of the participating companies in a real-life environment, with focus on generating product visibility for all the participating companies and where (business) contacts can be established.

This statement applies to the customers and contacts who are interested in certain products of Renson and/or the participating companies.

2.2. Which personal data do we process?

Renson may collect and process your personal data in digital interactions. This concerns your identification data (name, surname, city, zip-code, e-mail address, telephone number and your profession).

2.3. Why do we process your personal data?

Renson processes your personal data so our partners at NOA can contact you if you provided us with your identification data. Renson will only process personal data that is strictly required in order to achieve the defined purpose.

Renson always bases its processing activities on appropriate legal grounds. In this case we use your consent.

Visitor registration in a digital booth or by scanning a QR code

Renson processes personal data of a visitor who expresses interest in a particular product or participant by filling in a registration form in a digital booth or by scanning a QR code and by filling in a form on the smartphone.

Renson relies on your consent to send the personal data only to the relevant participant to develop a client relationship. The personal data are kept 10 days in our database. At the end of each day Renson will transfer your identification data to the participants of your choice at NOA. All Renson leads will be sent to our own CRM system.

3. Do we pass your personal data to third parties?

Renson shall transfer or pass your personal data to other parties, such as the participant(s) of your choice at NOA-living outdoor who may use these personal data for their own purposes.

Please note that the Privacy Statement of the participant at NOA-living outdoor, to whom we send your information, applies. You can check the participants via https://noa-outdoor.com/ and read their privacy statement on their websites.

Renson shall take the necessary steps to process your personal data within the European Economic Area only. In the case that your personal data are processed outside the European Economic Area, the participants at NOA shall take the appropriate safeguards to always protect your personal data and/or explicitly notify you of such cases.

4 What rights do you have and how do you exercise them?

4.1. Right of access by the data subject

You have the right to access all your personal data we process. You can also receive a paper or digital copy of this. You can do this by sending an email to our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at privacy@renson.be.

4.2. Right to rectification

You have the right to demand that we rectify your personal data if they are not correct or not complete. You also have the right to demand that your personal data are not used temporarily until they are correct or complete. You can do this by sending an email to our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at privacy@renson.be.

4.3. Right to object

You have the right to always withdraw your consent (object to processing). You can do this by sending an email to our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at privacy@renson.be. This means you may no longer be able to use certain functionalities.

4.4 Right to erasure (‘right to be forgotten’)

You have the right to demand that your personal data be erased when they are no longer necessary for the purposes of this Privacy Policy or if you withdraw your consent for the processing. You can do this by sending an email to our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at privacy@renson.be.

Note: We are not obliged to erase your personal data if we must or can keep them for a legal obligation.

4.5. Right to data portability

You have the right to receive your personal data structured, commonly used and machine-readable format if the processing took place in the context of an agreement or based on your consent. You can do this by sending an email to our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at privacy@renson.be.

4.6. Right to restriction of processing

If you feel we are not processing your personal data correctly, you may object to such processing, such as processing in the context of newsletters, marketing, or other processing that is not necessary in the context of our products and services. You can do this by sending an email to our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at privacy@renson.be.

4.7. Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

If you are not satisfied with the way in which your personal data are processed, you can lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in Belgium. For more information, please visit www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
